Valentine's Day Regatta 2010
The regatta had to be postponed from Valentine's day because it was blowing a gale, but it was held on Saturday 20th February in Governor's Harbour. Briland Sailing Club brought their six Optis to compete against our six optis.
After the skipper's meeting to explain the course and start sequence the boats assemble at the start line by the committee boat. You can see 2 of the 3 sunfish which also raced.
The Opti fleet stayed closely bunched in the light and fickle breeze
After lunch the breeze steadied in the North East.
Overall winner, Kenneth Davis, of Governor's Harbour returns to shore after 4 races. On the right, Justin Pinder, of Governor's Harbour, winner of the Sunfish class helps to de rig the boats.
