Palmetto Point Homecoming Regatta 2009
With an onshore wind blowing and 4ft waves ouside the harbour it was too rough to sail to Point, so the boats were trailered there and launched off the beach. 2 sunfish, 2 lasers and 4 optis took part.
The 2 sunfish were skippered by Patrick Similien, orange sail, and Ashton Johnson, white sail.
The two lasers were skippered by Justin Pinder, in the lead here, and Kendrick Davis. Boats on the beach during lunch break.

Opti awards for Graham Turner 4th, Yanni Bachus 3rd, Kenneth Davis 2nd received from Alvin Smith MP.
Delphine Carroll receives the first place opti trophy, and safety boat operator Steven Similien gets a medal.
2nd place sunfish Ashton Johnson and 1st place sunfish Patrick Similien.
The Laser competion was very close with only one point separating 2nd place Justin Pinder from 1st place Kendrick Davis.
